The sunny yellow arnica grows in the Apuseni mountains of the Southern Carpathians. Every year, local farmers harvest around 5000kg of fresh arnica flowers for the production of Weleda products.
Arnica flower buds contain 150 pharmaceutical active substances. These include such valuable and effective substances as flavonoids, carotenoids, sesquiterpene lactones and valuable essential oils.
The small amount of silica gives arnica structuring and building properties that help repair tissue after injuries such as bruises, sprains, and contusions.
It has an antiseptic effect, improves blood circulation, relieves pain and accelerates healing.
