This book is an aid to the teacher of human anatomy and physiology and provides the young person with an overview of maintaining health and maintaining hygiene in everyday life. In Waldorf schools all over the world, students learn this lesson in the 7th or 8th grade, or between the ages of 12 and 14. "Bones and muscles", providing an overview of human structure and functioning in simple and understandable texts and correct drawings, is an excellent support for teaching health education, human anatomy and physiology, as well as responsibility for one's body and health in all Latvian schools.
In Latvian, this is the third book by Charles Kovacs - "Botānika" and "Cilvēkūtne und živunu savala" were also published by ALIS.
Charles Kovacs was born in Austria. After the Second World War, he moved to Great Britain and since 1956 has worked as a classroom teacher at the Rudolph Steiner School in Edinburgh. He published the notes collected during the course of about 20 years of work, which were made while preparing for the lessons, in several books, which still serve as a source of inspiration and understanding of the learning material for both students and teachers of Waldorf schools and other schools around the world.
